Introduction:
Introducing our latest creation: the Quanzhou Artificial Flower Headband, inspired by the rich cultural traditions of Xunpu, Quanzhou, China.
Wearing floral hairpins is deeply ingrained in the ancient customs of China, particularly cherished among the women of Xunpu. It's not merely an act of adornment but a meaningful ceremony steeped in history and culture.
In Xunpu, women grow their hair long, without bangs, and typically wear it in a spiral bun. They first tie their long hair into a ponytail with a red head rope, then twist it into a rope shape, coil it into a spiral bun behind the head, and finally insert an ivory chopstick horizontally through the center of the bun. Occasionally, one or more hairpins are used to secure it in place.
With a deep love for flowers, Xunpu women often adorn their hair with a string of flowers crafted into a wreath. These wreaths typically consist of 3-5 circles, with each circle adorned with a flower. When worn around the spiral bun at the back of the head, it's known as the "hair-flower circumference."
Crafted with meticulous care, our headbands are a fusion of traditional materials and modern design. The women of Xunpu carefully select materials like fish bones, ivory, or plastic, which are then expertly combined with a variety of fresh and artificial flowers, along with neatly arranged flower strings. This thoughtful selection process is both an exploration of materials and an expression of beauty.
The art of wearing floral headbands has become synonymous with the unique charm of Xunpu women. They ingeniously adorn their hair with these headbands, forming a floral crown with a diameter akin to that of a ruler. This distinctive headwear not only enhances their appearance but also evokes the imagery of each woman as a vibrant flower garden.
Embrace the timeless elegance and cultural richness of Xunpu with our Quanzhou Artificial Flower Headband, a symbol of tradition, beauty, and grace.
